Updated: Haiyan continues to cause flight delays

The effects of Super Typhoon Haiyan are continuing to cause delays to a number of flights.
Cathay Pacific has advised that a number of its flights have been affected, and urges passengers to check their flight status for latest updates.
According to Doctors Without Borders, emergency teams have been sent into the area where roads are blocked, Tacloban airport has been destroyed and many people are unable to make phone calls.
The latest update by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) says that all airports except Tacloban have resumed normal operations. They are updating travellers on Twitter @CAAP_Operations.
Philippines Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Tiger Air and AirAsia/AirAsia Zest have announced flight cancellations in the region, with delays still expected.
SAA’s external communications manager for corporate affairs, Sizwe Mdladla, says: “We advise connecting passengers to get in touch with the airline they are due to connect with.”
On November 11, the typhoon is expected to make landfall south of Hanoi, however the BBC Weather Centre experts suggest it will have decreased in strength.
