US Airways cost recovery

Effective January 2013, US Airways will reinforce its cost recovery process by auditing all GDS user transactions to identify booking policy violations. US Airways bookings include all bookings utilising the ‘US’ or ‘US*’ designator codes.

The airline said that to maximise the benefits of using distribution providers, it would like to enlist the aid of its agency partners in reducing GDS fees.  According to the airline this can be accomplished by avoiding booking violations such as using fictitious names, duplicate bookings, no-shows, passives and not removing HX segments. US Airways will issue debit memos for all booking violations.  Learn more at http://www.usairways.com/en-US/travelplanning/drs/bookingpolicies.html
