Viking River Cruises has announced its upcoming India sailings, which will include voyages on the new Viking Ganges, designed specifically for Brahmaputra River itineraries.
Scheduled to debut in 2028, the Viking Ganges will join sister ship, Viking Brahmaputra, which will begin operations in late-2027.
Both ships will sail between Guwahati and Nimati Ghat in the northeastern state of Assam as part of Viking’s new 15-day itinerary, Wonders of India. In addition to an eight-day river voyage, the itinerary includes a fully guided land programme with 13 tours on offer. Attractions include the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Palace of Winds in Jaipur and Guwahati’s temple and Kaziranga National Park in Assam.
Viking is also offering a variety of new pre- and post-cruise land extensions for Wonders of India, including a two-night stay in Delhi, three nights in Dubai, four nights in Kathmandu and five nights in Cochin and Mumbai.
