Virgin Limited Edition has announced the addition of the Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp in Kenya to its portfolio of properties.

The camp, located in Tsavo National Park, will become the brand’s fifth property in Africa, following the opening of the Mahali Mzuri in Kenya, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve and Mont Rochelle Hotel & Vineyard in South Africa, and Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco.

The property was named after the British aristocrat and game hunter Denys Finch Hatton, who was also the lover of renowned author Karen Blixen, better known by her pen name Isak Dinesen, who was portrayed in the autobiographic novel Out of Africa.

Finch Hattons offers 17 luxury tented suites. 14 are standard suites while two are two-bedroom family suites and the last is a private suite with its own plunge pool. Meanwhile, the Chyulu Spa is within viewing distance of the Shetani Lava Flows and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Activities include game drives, an excursion to Shetani, a hike up Oldonyo Larami Volcano, and nature walks.

Finch Hattons will become part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio from July 1 this year.
