Virgin Hotels expands to Scotland

Virgin Hotels has announced plans to open new a hotel in Glasgow next year, with another in Edinburgh also in the pipeline.

Virgin Hotels Glasgow is set to be built alongside the River Clyde. The brand-new hotel will have 242 rooms, including Virgin Hotels’ flagship restaurant Commons Club and the Funny Library Coffee Shop.

Members of the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club can enjoy special benefits at Virgin Hotels. Red, silver and gold tier members will earn 1 000 points per stay. Additionally, silver and gold members will receive complimentary upgrades, subject to room availability. Gold members will receive a complimentary daily breakfast as well.

Virgin Hotels’ portfolio so far includes properties in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, and Las Vegas; and more are in the pipeline -  New Orleans, New York City and Miami.
