Growthpoint Properties, the partial owner of the V&A Waterfront, has announced that the company’s new super-luxury hotel, Quay 7, is set to be completed by March 2026.

According to Moneyweb, the company confirmed the timeframe of the hotel during an investor update last month.

Quay 7 will be a 142-key contemporary luxury lifestyle hotel with six serviced apartments. Located on Quay 7, the hotel will be operated under an international management agreement.

During a media briefing in September 2024, Growthpoint revealed that Marriott would likely become the hotel operator, branded as a Marriott Edition hotel. However, the management agreement has not been finalised yet.

Edition Hotels is a luxury boutique hotel lifestyle experience, created by Marriott International and renowned American hotelier, Ian Schrager.
