Proflight Zambia is adding a third daily flight to its Johannesburg schedule on peak travel days from September 27 until the first week of January 2026, the airline revealed in its Q2 Partner News.

“We are pleased to announce the re-instatement of a third daily frequency on peak travel days, Saturday and Sunday and selected holiday season dates, to cover the extra passenger demand in this period and provide international connectivity,” said the statement.

The new evening flight P0029 will depart Johannesburg at 20h30 and arrive in Lusaka at 22h30 on Saturdays and Sundays. The return flight P0028 will depart Lusaka at 16h30 and arrive in Johannesburg at 18h30 on the same days.

The flight will also operate on selected weekdays for the peak holiday season, between December 1 and January 3, 2026.

Change to Cape Town flights

Proflight Zambia will continue to operate its direct flights between Cape Town and Livingstone, as well as Cape Town and Lusaka via Livingstone, on Thursdays and Sundays.

However, in response to market feedback, it will move to a later morning departure time from Lusaka from August 7.

The schedules will be as follows:

Cape Town-Livingstone: Flight P0051 will depart Cape Town at 12h35 and arrive in Livingstone at 15h25. The return flight P0050 will depart Livingstone at 08h40 and arrive in Cape Town at 11h40.

Cape Town-Lusaka via Livingstone: Flight P0051 will depart Cape Town at 12h35 and arrive in Lusaka at 16h50. The return flight P0050 will depart Lusaka at 07h15 and arrive in Cape Town at 11h40.
