The City Lodge Hotel Group is ever-creative with new ways to engage with travellers and, more recently, with foodies too!
The Group has started a new festive season tradition – the celebratory brunch or breakfast, available on December 24, 25 and 26, and once more on January 1, 2021. The value it offers points to it soon becoming a new South African tradition – brunch at a Lodge on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
Guests don’t have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy this breakfast or brunch option – day visitors are welcome. Bookings are essential and reservations are guaranteed. Weather permitting, the meal might be served outdoors.
Courtyard Hotels, City Lodges and Town Lodges will offer a festive brunch from 10h00 to 14h00, at the excellent price of R285 per adult and R100 for children under 12. Children under five eat free. The festive brunch consists of fresh juice, cereal and yoghurt, charcuterie and fromage, salad, bread station, fruit selection, hot food station (think oxtail in red wine sauce, proper Christmas gammon, BBQ beef ribs) and desserts (think waffle station with fresh waffles with all the trimmings, peppermint caramel tart, selection of cakes and much more).
Road Lodges will offer an enhanced continental breakfast on the same dates, from 06h30 to 10h00 for just R110 per adult, R55 for children under 12, and children under five eat free. No one could walk away hungry from this offering of juice, cereal and yoghurt, fruit selection, charcuterie and fromage, bread station, plated hot breakfast and a selection of hot beverages. Think summer fruit, glazed gammon, Camembert with raspberry and honey, doughnuts and Danish pastries, full English breakfast or salmon and scrambled eggs.
