Accra installs new airport scanners

Ghana Airports Company Limited plans to install advanced 3D baggage screeners at Terminal 2 at Accra’s Kotoka International Airport.

The new technology will eliminate the need for passengers to remove items such as liquids from their carry-on luggage and will also allow them to keep their shoes on when passing through security checkpoints.

Ghana’s government has also changed the name of the airport. According to the BBC, Kotoka International Airport will now be known as Accra International Airport, its original name.
