Air Europa to launch JNB route

Air Europa will launch three weekly flights between Madrid and Johannesburg from June 24.

Flights will depart Madrid on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15h05 and arrive in Johannesburg at 01h10 the following day.

Flights will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 03h10 and arrive in Madrid at 13h20.

The service will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.

In October 2025, Air Europa was granted rights to operate three weekly flights between Spain and South Africa after Spain’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation initiated a process to allocate traffic rights between the two countries.
