United-JetBlue partnership gets go-ahead
The US Department of Transport has cleared the implementation of United Airlines and JetBlue’s Blue Sky partnership.
The partnership enables the airlines to implement an interline agreement, allowing travellers to book flights on both airlines’ websites, and integrates their frequent flyer programmes, allowing passengers to earn and use their miles across both loyalty programmes.
Additionally, the partnership involves the sharing of slots at New York City’s JFK Airport and the exchange of eight flight timings at Newark.
Precision Air adds two aircraft
Precision Air has added two aircraft to its fleet to address capacity constraints.
The expansion includes an ATR 72-500, acquired through a wet lease, and the reintroduction of an ATR 42-600, which returns to service after operational enhancements.
The additional aircraft are scheduled to enter service from August.
