Condor will operate three daily flights between Frankfurt and London Gatwick from April next year.
Flights will depart Frankfurt at 08h20, 14h00 and 18h15 daily and arrive at London Gatwick at 08h55, 14h35 and 18h50 respectively.
ET adds more aircraft to its fleet
Ethiopian Airlines has placed orders with Boeing and Airbus for aircraft to grow its regional and international networks.
The airline has ordered 11 Boeing 737-8s and six Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The agreements were signed at the 2025 Dubai Airshow.
This comes after the airline received its 21st and 22nd Airbus A350-900 earlier this month.
QF revamps lounges
Qantas will begin construction on its Sydney International Business Lounge from December 8.
Construction is expected to be completed by early 2027 and will feature a refreshed food and beverage menu, a 30% increase in seating and a new outdoor terrace with views of Sydney's skyline.
During this time, the lounge will move to a temporary space near gate 24 and in peak periods, travellers may be reaccommodated in an alternative lounge.
The airline’s new Auckland International Lounge will open in December. The expanded lounge will offer increased seating capacity and an enhanced food and beverage experience.
Virgin receives million-dollar investment
Virgin Atlantic Airways has received a $745 million (R12,8 billion) investment from Apollo to fund the airline’s fleet investment.
The funding includes the complete refurbishment of the Boeing 787-9 fleet, introducing upgraded interiors and expanded Upper-Class and Premium cabins from 2028. From the third quarter of 2026, ten new Airbus A330neo aircraft will also join the fleet, featuring expanded premium cabins and six Retreat Suites.
The financing will also enable the roll-out of free Starlink Wi-Fi across the entire fleet.
SQ to add premium economy on Brisbane flights
Singapore Airlines will introduce premium economy on one of its four daily services between Brisbane and Singapore from November next year.
Flight SQ265/266 will be operated by the Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft, replacing the Airbus A350-900 medium haul. The other three daily flights will continue to be operated by the airline’s A350-900 medium haul.
