TK partners with Samsung for baggage tracking

Turkish Airlines has partnered with Samsung to offer Android-enabled baggage tracking that is integrated with its baggage systems and lost baggage applications.

Utilising Samsung’s Smart Tagged Baggage Service, powered by the SmartThings Find app available on all Android devices and Galaxy SmartTags, passengers will be able to provide the airline with additional information to track their misplaced or delayed baggage.

Passengers will be able to share their SmartTag’s reference, including a photo of their luggage, in lost baggage applications to assist the airline with tracking and identifying their baggage more easily.

The airline aims to extend the use of SmartThings Find beyond baggage services, integrating location-based capabilities into future passenger-focused digital solutions.
