United Airlines has added TSA wait times to its app, providing passengers with estimated wait times at airport security gates.
The service is available at the airline’s US hub airports, including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington DC.
Travellers can view estimated wait times for specific lanes, including standard security and TSA PreCheck. Other features on the app include bag tracker, turn-by turn directions to connecting gates, automatic rebooking assistance and a real-time weather update.
ET resumes Kuwait flights
Ethiopian Airlines will resume five weekly flights to Kuwait from June 16.
Flights will depart Addis Ababa at 00h10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and arrive in Kuwait at 04h30. The return flight will depart Kuwait at 05h25 on the same days and arrive in Addis Ababa at 09h35.
From June 22, this will increase to a daily service, with flights on Mondays and Fridays.
Air Peace launches Barbados flights
Air Peace has launched direct flights between Lagos and Bridgetown, Barbados, making it the only carrier to currently fly direct from Africa to the Caribbean on scheduled flights.
According to Arise News, the inaugural flight took off on May 24, although the airline initially planned to launch the flights in December 2025.
According to the airline’s website, the flight schedule is as follows:
- On Sundays, the flight departs Lagos at 06h00 and arrives in Bridgetown at 10h10.
- On Mondays, the flight departs Bridgetown at 11h50 and arrives in Lagos at 02h20 the following day.
