SkyTeam upgrades check-in at Tokyo Narita
SKYTEAM has tripled the number of self-service kiosks for
customers travelling from Tokyo’s Narita Airport. There are now
90 SkyTeam-branded, common-use check-in kiosks available to
passengers. They are positioned in the lobby area and throughout
Piers A-F at Terminal 1 North. Passengers travelling on any of the
alliance member airlines and who use the kiosks can choose from a
wide range of languages when checking-in. The new kiosks are the
latest development in the alliance’s SkyPort initiative, developed to
realise synergies for members while delivering an enhanced airport
experience for customers.

QF – Book and ticket in same class
QANTAS has advised that it will issue ADMs from March 1 for tickets
where mismatched classes are detected. The airline has put an
enhanced audit process in place for class mismatches, as follows:
1. Where a class mismatch is detected, agents will receive up to two
SSR messages advising them to correct the discrepancy.
2. The first SSR message will appear when the class mismatch
first occurs – ‘TKT CLASS DOES NOT MATCH BKG CLASS – PLEASE
CORRECT’.
3. If the mismatch is not rectified, a second SSR message will
appear 72 hours prior to departure – ‘TKT CLASS DOES NOT MATCH
BKG CLASS – PLEASE CORRECT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.’
4. If the class mismatch is not rectified, ADM charges will apply.
The SSR message will generate to travel agents via their GDS
queues.
