Airlink will add Doha as its first long-haul destination through an expanded codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways from August 31.
Under the agreement, Airlink will place its 4Z code on Qatar Airways-operated flights between South Africa and Doha. This includes double-daily services from Johannesburg, 10 weekly services from Cape Town and daily services from Durban, which operate via Maputo. All three routes are operated using Airbus A350 aircraft.
The codeshare is expected to expand to additional destinations across Qatar Airways’ global network over the coming months.
The agreement builds on the airlines’ existing codeshare partnership, established in 2022, which allows Qatar Airways to place its QR code on Airlink domestic services in South Africa and several regional routes.

These codeshare flights enhance travel options between South Africa and Qatar, providing consistent schedules and seamless onward connections through Qatar Airways’ global network via Hamad International Airport.
