Airlink links Durban and KMIA

Airlink will re-introduce scheduled direct services between Durban and Kruger Mpumalanga International (KMIA) near Mbombela, from April 4.

The carrier says its non-stop flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights from Durban depart at 10h30 and those from KMIA at 14h00. Flight time is approximately 70 minutes.

Flights will be operated by Embraer Regional Jets and fares include a 20kg economy-class checked-in luggage allowance plus a 15kg sporting equipment allowance. On board, customers are treated to a complimentary light meal, refreshments, generous leg-room and a choice of aisle or window seat (the aircraft does not have middle seats).

“This new direct service will promote commerce and tourism between the cities and between Mpumalanga and KwaZulu Natal provinces.  For customers, the re-introduction of non-stop flights between the two cities provides greater convenience and options for those who do not need to travel via Johannesburg,” said Airlink CEO and MD, Rodger Foster.

Flights are scheduled to provide convenient connections with Airlink’s domestic and regional services as well as with long-haul flights by the carrier’s global airline partners.
