AmaWaterways expands fleet

AmaWaterways will expand its fleet to more than 50 ships by 2032, with an order for 15 new-builds across Europe.

The river cruise line currently has 31 ships, with eight new river ships scheduled for delivery in Europe by 2030.

As part of the new expansion, at least one ship will be added to the fleet each year, including additional ships on the Chobe and Nile rivers.

The confirmed line-up of new ships so far includes: 

  • AmaNubia and AmaCleo on the Nile in 2026 and 2028 
  • AmaRudi on the Danube in 2027
  • AmaMaya on the Mekong in 2027 
  • AmaGaia on the Douro in 2028
  • AmaFiora on the Rhine in 2027 
  • AmaClara on the Rhone in 2028
  • A second ship on the Chobe River alongside the Zambezi Queen.
