Angola advances convention centre project

Angola is developing a US$100 million international convention centre in Luanda’s Chicala district as part of its strategy to grow the country’s MICE sector.

According to Ver Angola, the 7.2 hectare facility will feature a main conference hall for 375 delegates and a multipurpose theatre for 300. Scheduled for completion by late 2026, the project is expected to create 7 000 direct jobs.

The convention centre is part of the LUNDU Project, which will integrate museums, restaurants, offices, a maritime terminal, educational facilities and leisure parks in Luanda’s waterfront area.
