Australia hikes visa fees

Australia’s Department of Home Affairs has raised visa application fees. From July 1, travellers applying for a visitor visa (subclass 600) under either the business or tourist stream, now pay AUD250 (R2 885).

This represents a 25% increase, up from AUD200 (R2 308).
