Avalon Waterways has increased its fleet of Suite Ships on the Mekong River, with the launch of Avalon Saigon to cruise between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap.
Avalon Saigon joins sister ship, Avalon Siem Reap, with an inaugural service on a 13-day ‘Fascinating Vietnam and Cambodia’ Mekong River itinerary. Also on the itinerary is a new 18-day Mekong River ‘Heart of Cambodia & Vietnam’ journey.
The ship, with a capacity of 36 guests, offers 18 suites with 22sqm of living space. It also features Avalon’s signature open-air balconies with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall panoramic windows with retractable screen systems and doors that slide open, creating the feeling of sitting outside.
Each open-air balcony has a private sitting area, complete with love seat, chair and table. Other amenities include an observation lounge; a 24-hour self-service beverage station with complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks and local beer and spirits; a library; fitness equipment and games.
Sailing dates are from January through to December, all dependent on the itinerary option and availability.
