The AviaDev 2023 conference will take place in June at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi Upper Hill. The event aims to unite the aviation industry and drive increased connectivity to, from and within Africa.

There will be talks by industry speakers, as well as networking opportunities through pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings.
June 14 will be airport-focussed, with a session around finance, skills and contacts to develop land and its revenue potential.
Speakers include Marcel Langeslag and Rene Marey from Netherlands Airport Consultants; Mark Dunford, CEO, Knight Frank Kenya; Trevor Ward, Principal of the W Hospitality Group; and Shamil Manek, Director of Merwest Company.
On June 15 Daniel Silke, Director of Political Futures Consultancy presents a macroeconomic update.
Panel sessions look at navigating investments, adapting strategies to deliver new routes and revenue streams, and how technology can drive efficiency.
Speakers include Allan Kilavuka, CEO of Kenya Airways; Jenifer Bamuturaki, CEO of Uganda Airlines; Eduardo Fairen, CEO of TAAG; and Judy Waruiru, Managing Director DPO Pay.
There will also be a SAATM Hard Talk Session by Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor, CBS News, and Adefunke Adeyemi, Secretary General, African Civil Aviation Commission to end the day.
June 16 will see a drone demonstration alongside the charity run followed by panel sessions which will look at a sustainable route development plan; re-fleeting and African airline start-ups; and building a strong cargo ecosystem.
