Australia Travel Declaration to be rolled out nationwide

Australia’s digital travel declaration will be introduced at all international airports and seaports before the end of 2027 as Australian Border Force (ABF) continues to phase out the paper-based passenger card.

The current pilot programme will be rolled out across international Qantas flights at remaining capital cities, including Perth and Adelaide, before the end of this year.

Since October 2024, the ABF in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry, and Qantas have been rolling out a pilot in-app declaration, allowing passengers to complete their passenger card up to 72 hours before arrival in Australia.
