Avis expands premium service to Europe

Avis Budget Group has launched its new premium airport service, Avis First, at several European airports as part of the product’s global rollout.

From October 22, Avis First became available at Rome Fiumicino, Geneva International and Zurich Kloten airports, following its debut in North America in September. More locations will be added soon.

Avis First offers a concierge-style service, with travellers met directly at arrivals by a dedicated Avis representative and personally escorted to their rental vehicle, bypassing the traditional counter check-in.

Customers can choose from a selection of premium BMWs, including the 3, 4 and 5 Series, as well as the X3 and X5 SUVs.

On return, vehicles can be dropped off at dedicated Avis First zones near departures, where clients hand over the keys and proceed to their gate. According to Avis First, the cars are refuelled at the same rate that customers would pay if they refuelled themselves.

The service also includes a VIP phone line and a mobile app-based reservation and pick-up communication system, available on Android and Apple devices.
