British Airways has sent a notice to the trade pointing out that clients can continue to benefit from the current 25% reduction on loyalty programme tier thresholds until December 31. From January 1, they will need to meet the full Tier Point thresholds to upgrade to Bronze, Silver or Gold levels.
Every time a traveller flies with BA, they earn Tier Points through the Avios programme, to unlock a range of benefits at each tier of the Executive Club.
Over the last few years, BA introduced a temporary reduction in the number of Tier Points clients needed to upgrade tier status and renewed tier memberships so that members didn’t miss out when they couldn’t fly due to the pandemic.
