New Mauritius Hotels Limited (NMH), the parent company of the Beachcomber brand, has announced that Beachcomber Hospitality Investments (BHI) has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire a “leading five-star resort in Zanzibar”.

According to a cautionary announcement released by the NMH Board, BHI has been granted a period of exclusivity to conduct due diligence and negotiations. The group is currently in the process of appointing advisers for the proposed deal.

The announcement states: “Should the transaction materialise, the operations would be under the Beachcomber brand, in line with the group’s regional expansion strategy.”
