Ponant has added a second catamaran, La Desirade, to its Spirit of Ponant boutique fleet.

La Desirade will depart on its maiden voyage from Bonifacio at the end of this year, to explore destinations such as southern Corsica and Sardinia before redeploying to the Caribbean in December where it will spend three months sailing the region through to April.

All the itineraries are either seven or 14 days, with agents able to tailor voyages to suit their clients’ needs.

The 24-metre-long vessel has capacity for nine guests and four crew members – including the captain. There are four suites, all of which have en-suite facilities, as well as a large collection of water sport equipment.

The ship’s communal features include a large indoor lounge, two outdoor lounges, and an open-plan kitchen. There will also be outdoor trampolines and a rear deck at water level.
