Taiwan introduces digital arrival card

Yesterday
Comments | 0

Taiwan has launched a digital arrival card, which will replace the paper-based cards from October 1.

All travellers will be required to complete the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) online within three days prior to arrival. The site is currently live, allowing travellers to submit either the paper card or digital card until September 30. The digital application will be mandatory from October 1.

Email verification is required during the registration process, and travellers will receive a confirmation email once successfully registered. By scanning the traveller’s passport, pre-submitted data can be retrieved, enhancing both the speed and accuracy of immigration clearance.

The TWAC does not require any payment and can be accessed through the following link: https://twac.immigration.gov.tw/
