Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels has announced planned renovations for its Shandrani, Victoria, Trou aux Biches and Mauricia properties.

Shandrani Beachcomber will close completely from June 1, with plans to reopen on October 15.

The upgrade will include:

  • Complete renovation of 69 rooms into ‘adult only’ accommodation (blocks 1-9, left wing of main building)
  • Complete renovation of the Grand Port buffet restaurant, which will feature a comprehensive redesign with a new concept, modern materials, a revamped service area and enhanced interior design
  • Renovation of the Sirius kitchen
  • Renovation of the technical galleries in the Deluxe blocks

At Victoria Beachcomber, 91 rooms in blocks D and E will undergo renovations. The blocks will close from April 26 and will gradually reopen until August 8.

At Mauricia Beachcomber, renovations of the reception will take place from September 7 to 21. Existing aquariums will be removed and the entire reception area will be revamped.

Previously announced renovation of suites in crescents 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber will not take place.

Measures will be implemented to minimise disruption during the renovation period.
