Boeing has expressed its
condolences to those who
had lost loved ones in
the Lion Air and Ethiopian
Airlines crashes but insisted
that the B737 MAX was a
safe aircraft. However the
manufacturer also confirmed
that it had been working
closely with the Federal
Aviation Administration on
development, planning and
certification of a software
enhancement for the B737
MAX8 which it anticipated
would be mandated with an
airworthiness certificate no
later than April.
