FlySafair’s reservations system appears to have suffered the same breakdown as experienced by FastJet read here
News24 is reporting that FlySafair has had the problem since Wednesday morning, and to circumvent the issue, the airline is presently charging a flat fee of R800 for all tickets on all routes, including one checked-in bag.
Bookings for the next 24-48 hours are only possible at the airport.
Online check-in will not be possible until the system is up and running.
The system in question is Radixx International, a Sabre product, which is said to have suffered “a major technical event”. The system is used by several airlines globally.
