SAA has reduced its flight capacity due to the low demand for air travel.
In a statement, SAA announced that flights that have been negatively impacted, more than others, are cancelled.
From March 17 until 31 March 2020, SAA has cancelled 162 flights. 38 of these flights are international and 124 are regional flights.
The airline will continue to assist travellers wishing to repatriate to their home countries, including South African citizens abroad wishing to return home. They will also transfer qualifying passengers to or from the destinations which have been classified as high-risk areas.
They have updated their Customer Reservation Policy, now offering customers one free ticket change.
