Bulk payments for UK visas blocked again

Visa processing companies are once again experiencing difficulty making online payments via the Visa4UK website.

This is because the website where payments are made has limited card transactions to five. The site was launched two years ago, but visa processing companies continued to use the older site that supported unlimited card transaction, until that was discontinued recently.

eTNW understands that TLS has implemented the limitation to prevent consumers from falling victim to fraud.

Because client application appointments cannot be secured without payment, visa companies are struggling to assist their clients.

On Thursday October 11, eTNW reported that UK VI, the official UK embassy website for visa applications, had reversed the system upgrade that resulted in bank cards being blocked after five visa application payments.

However, the problem has recurred and visa processing companies are once again experiencing difficulty with making payments via the Visa4UK website.

A spokesperson from British T.I.P.S. told eTNW that the issue had been raised at the UK VI head office and that they were working to resolving it.
