Celebrity debuts new venue concept

Celebrity Cruises is debuting a venue concept on its newest ship, Celebrity Xcel – a multi-storey space that will be transformed daily to reflect the destinations visited.

The Bazaar is a “first of its kind concept”, according to the cruise line. No two days in this venue will be the same, featuring local artisan products, craft experiences, destination-inspired festivals and culinary experiences, all of which will be tailored to each itinerary.

When the ship sails its inaugural journey in the Caribbean, The Bazaar will feature four unique Caribbean destination-inspired festivals, each with its own experiences, culinary offerings and entertainment.

When Celebrity Xcel heads to Europe in 2026, The Bazaar will transform to feature festivals, markets and culinary offerings inspired by the Mediterranean.

On sea days, it will be transformed into ‘Market at The Bazaar’, featuring local artisans showcasing crafts and teaching guests how to make their own creations. The market will offer tastings as well, such as a rum and chocolate pairing and a hot sauce tasting.

Dining options in The Bazaar will include a new open-kitchen concept serving dishes inspired by the regions and a chef’s table experience at the restaurant, Mosaic. Guests can learn to cook these dishes at the Chef’s Studio at Mosaic, Celebrity’s first destination-inspired cooking school.

Celebrity Cruises is represented by Cruises International in the South African market.
