Celebrity to upgrade Solstice ships

Celebrity Cruises has announced a $250 million (R4,4 billion) upgrade to its Solstice Series ships, beginning with the Celebrity Solstice in 2026.

Upgrades include redesigned indoor and outdoor spaces as well as new restaurants and entertainment areas.

All 1 479 staterooms on the ship will be upgraded, with four new stateroom categories also announced. These are the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View Suite, Panoramic Ocean View Suite and Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View, and are available to book from mid-June.  

Other upgrades include:

  • A new entertainment venue, with interactive daytime activities and evening concerts.
  • New and revamped bars and restaurants.  
  • A transformed top deck, with lawn games, open-air concerts and new food and drink options. 
  • New private cabanas with ocean views.  

Celebrity Solstice return to service in March 2026 with Asia and Australia itineraries, followed by summer sailings in Alaska.
