Comair still earthbound – Day 5

17 Mar 2022
BA Comair, kulula still grounded
Comments | 0

Five days after it was grounded by the South African CAA, aviation company Comair, has sent out another notice to the trade informing agents that kulula.com and BA Comair flights remain cancelled.

The airline said despite its “very best efforts”, the CAA suspension remained in place for Comair.

“We understand the deep frustration for our customers and apologise unreservedly for the inconvenience caused. We remain fully engaged with the CAA to gain certainty for our passengers regarding the reinstatement of our operating licence.”

The airline advises its customers not to travel to the airport unless they have been able to make alternative arrangements.

Comair’s two operations, low-cost carrier kulula and the full-service BA Comair were grounded suddenly by the SA CAA on March 12, see here.
