Contiki launches island hopping in the Philippines

Contiki, the sustainable tour operator for travellers aged 18 to 35, has announced its first trip to the Philippines, a nine-day or 13-day island-hopping itinerary.

The nine-day itinerary will see travellers visit Puerto Princesa, Port Bartone, and El Nido, with excursions such as boat rides through the Subterranean River National Park, off-roading on the dunes of Nacpan Beach, and a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience at Darocotan Island, reports travelpulse.com.

The 13-day itinerary includes an additional boat excursion to the Calamian Islands, with visits to Coron, Cullion and Linapacan. During this time, travellers can camp by the beach in Coron, snorkel in Coral Garden and visit the Turtle Islands.

“The Philippines is a major in-demand destination for travellers worldwide, particularly those from the Gen-Z demographic,” said Adam Armstrong, CEO of Contiki. “We’re thrilled to now be satisfying that demand, on a trip that makes visiting the Philippines so very easy, and fun too!”

“We know that the Philippines can be challenging for solo travellers to navigate, which is why we wanted to launch a trip that includes internal flights, boat transfers, and all other transport – along with all accommodation and delicious Filipino meals,” explained Armstrong.

While Contiki’s trips do not include flights to and from the starting points of itineraries, flights can be arranged during the tour booking process. This can be done online, through a Contiki customer consultant, or independently by travellers, providing flexibility and ease in travel planning.
