COVID-19: Airlink and Comair introduce change policy

16 Mar 2020
Comments | 0

Airlink and Comair have announced new commercial policies for change of bookings amid COVID-19 concerns.

Airlink will allow passengers to make one free date change to their booking to accommodate those affected by schedule adjustments.

The free date change applies if the original ticket was issued before March 4, for travel between March 12 and September 30.

Comair will accommodate customers with bookings made up to and including March 31. Change fees will be waived for any British Airways and kulula.com flights for travel until May 17 (difference in fare may apply). This applies to bookings made directly with the airline and through travel agents.

BA and kulula.com contact centres will assist with flight changes for bookings made up until March 13. New bookings made from March 14 can be changed online.

A traveller opting to cancel a kulula.com flight will receive a Travel Bank Credit to the value of that flight, which can be used up to 12 months from the original date of departure.

Customers booked as part of a group of 10 or more, and customers holding a ticket for an international flight in or out of South Africa/Africa, with a connecting British Airways or kulula.com flight as part of their journey, will be entitled to a full refund or rebooking/re-routing with the change of booking fee waived (a difference in fare may apply). The travel period is valid until May 17, and the refund or rebooking/re-routing will only apply to tickets issued on or before March 31.
