Delta will become the first US airline to operate a non-stop service between Auckland and Los Angeles from October 28.

Daily flights between the destinations will be operated by an Airbus A350-900.

Flight DL65 from Los Angeles to Auckland will depart daily at 22h30 and arrive at 07h35 two days later. Flight DL64 from Auckland to Los Angeles will depart at 14h00 and arrive at 06h05. Flying time is around 13 hours.

Tickets went on sale for the flights on Saturday, January 21.

Customers will have a choice of three cabin types – economy, premium economy, and business class, which offers lie-flat seats.

“LAX continues to grow its global network of destinations that are connecting Angelenos to every corner of the globe, and Delta’s addition of non-stop service from Los Angeles to New Zealand is in lockstep with the airline’s commitment to expand and improve service to our region,” says Justin Erbacci, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports.
