New NCL ship for Caribbean sailings
NORWEGIAN Cruise Line has taken delivery of the Norwegian
Getaway, which will sail the Caribbean from Miami, with
accommodation ranging from studio, balcony and family state rooms
to opulent suites. It will feature an all-new dining and entertainment
experience, The Illusionarium, and spectacular dance and stage
productions, 27 dining options, Nickelodeon kids’ entertainment and
a three-storey sports complex. Norwegian Getaway has the latest
engine technology and energy saving to guarantee an ecological
cruise experience at significantly reduced operating costs.
River Countess named top river ship
UNIWORLD Boutique River Cruise Collection’s River Countess has
come first in Travel + Leisure’s ‘2013 World’s Best for Top 20 River
Cruise Ships’, gaining the highest score of all ships, both river and
ocean. Six of Uniworld’s other ships were placed in the top 20 –
River Queen (3); River Ambassador (4); S.S. Antoinette (8); River
Baroness (10); River Royale (17); and River Beatrice (18). The
River Countess sails on April 6 with the ‘Gems of Northern Italy and
Venice’ cruise. The eight-day cruise departs from and ends in Venice.
