Emirates has launched a new city check-in and travel store at ICD Brookfield Place in the financial district of Dubai.

The airline says customers can book travel, check in for flights, drop luggage and shop, saving time at the airport.

Customers can drop their luggage there from four to 24 hours before flights.

They can check in from 08h00-22h00 daily, via self-check-in kiosks, at dedicated desks with Emirates agents, or with check-in robot assistant, Sara.

Sara is a portable robotic check-in system that matches faces with scanned passports, checks passengers in and guides them to the luggage drop area.

The check-in and travel store has a 2,5m LCD screen showing Emirates’ latest destination content, as well as screens showing an interactive touchscreen map. It offers both paid valet parking and self-parking options.

At the store, passengers can get advice and assistance with purchasing tickets for future journeys. They may also purchase upgrades, select preferred seats and arrange extra baggage.

Adel al Redha, Emirates Chief Operating Officer says: “Our new location is the first ultra-convenient check-in and baggage-drop facility, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre area. People can avoid busy periods at the airport and minimise queuing.”
