Pakistan reopened its airspace over the weekend following a ceasefire agreement with India.
Airspace restrictions were imposed after tensions between India and Pakistan escalated last week.
The Pakistan Airport Authority announced that airports were ready to resume normal flight operations but warned that full restoration may take time.
According to Gulf News, many UAE carriers resumed flight operations to Pakistan. Emirates, Etihad, and Air Arabia resumed partial services to Pakistan, while continuing to closely monitor the situation.
Airports in northern and northwestern India that had closed have also reopened, with domestic airlines resuming services. These airports had been shut down during Operation Sindoor, India’s airstrike campaign targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
