Emirates is to implement a surcharge for winter peak travel.
The airline has announced that, from July 15, a surcharge of US$40 (R557) will be added to tickets for flights travelling into Dubai between December 13 and 21, and again between January 2 and 6. Flights out of Dubai between January 2 and 12 will also have the charge added.
The surcharge is applicable for economy-class fares.
