Emirates adds SAF to Schiphol

Emirates has announced it will introduce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on its flights from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Activating its agreement with SAF producer Neste, over two million gallons of blended SAF will be delivered to Schiphol’s fuelling system in 2024. The airline is also partnering with Neste to introduce SAF to operations at Changi Airport in Singapore in the coming months.

“SAF is an available solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from air travel and it is exciting that Emirates has started using our Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It is also a great example of how we are working together with partners to accelerate SAF usage,” said Alexander Kueper, Vice-President of Renewable Aviation at Neste.

Emirates already uses SAF on its flights from Dubai, Lyon, Paris and Oslo.
