Emirates pax can pre-order meals

26 Jul 2023

Emirates’ latest initiative allows customers to preorder their hot main meal from 14 days to 24 hours prior to their flight.

The service is initially being rolled out in business class on flights between Dubai and Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted airports.

Passengers can browse the onboard menu on the Emirates website or mobile app, choosing from a selection of regionally inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients. They can also pre-order special meals if required. The aim is to reduce food wastage on the flight.

On board, cabin crew use a custom-built app on a device to view the meal selection and serve the passenger their choice of hot dish.

Emirates plans to expand the meal pre-order initiative to more routes and classes following customer feedback from the initial roll-out phase.
