ET to suspend Atlanta route

Ethiopian Airlines will suspend its Atlanta service from February 2.

According to Aeroroutes, the three weekly flights from Addis Ababa to Atlanta, via Rome are scheduled to resume after June 2. The affected flights are ET518 and return service ET519.

A Simple Flying analyst attributed the flight suspensions to tightened visa requirements across several African countries, noting that the route had already been struggling prior to these changes.

Travel News approached Ethiopian Airlines to verify this information, however it had not received a response by the time of publishing this article.
