Explora Journeys has unveiled new Alaska sailings for its summer 2027 itineraries.
The new Explora III will embark on Alaska cruises departing from Vancouver between March and November.
The Alaska journeys will provide a rare chance for guests to explore Alaska’s giant rivers, fascinating wildlife and frontier towns where hiking, dogsledding, skiing and boating activities will captivate guests.
Passengers will sail the Whale’s Highway, spotting Humpback Whales, Orcas, Dolphins and Seals. They will also visit landmarks including the Mendenhall Glacier, the Misty Fjord and St Michael’s Cathedral and learn about the significance of totem poles, taste Dungeness crab and be offered the opportunity to kayak around Sitka Sound.
Some of the new Alaska itineraries include:
- A Journey Through Untamed Landscapes & Coastal Treasures, Vancouver to Vancouver (May 10 to 21, 2027): An 11-night journey through glacier-carved fjords and forested islands, with maiden visits to Sitka, Prince Rupert, and the remote beauty of Endicott Arm.
- An Extended Journey Across Alaska’s Wild Frontier, Vancouver to Vancouver (July 2 to 16, 2027): A 14-night exploration of Alaska’s raw wilderness and cultural soul, from the icy majesty of Hubbard Glacier to the historic charm of Kodiak and the Indigenous heritage of Alert Bay.
The line will also launch its fourth ship, Explora IV, for the season. It will operate itineraries in western Europe, northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland, the US, plus the east coast of Canada and New England.
“We are thrilled to be introducing Alaska for the very first time and to be offering many of our 2027 journeys on two of our ultra-elegant new ships, Explora III and IV,” said Explora Journeys President, Anna Nash.
