F1 showrun comes to SA

Formula 1 fans in South Africa can look forward to Oracle Red Bull Racing’s RB7 tearing up the tarmac during its show run on Katherine Street in Sandton later this year.

British F1 legend David Coulthard will thrill spectators in October when he comes to the country to show off his skills.

“I haven’t been to South Africa since we were in Cape Town in 2019, so I’m delighted we’re bringing Formula 1 back to Johannesburg,” he said.

The RB7 is an exceptionally powerful piece of machinery, with an engine that can deliver 750 horsepower and up to 18 000 RPMs.

“I’ll be driving a very special F1 car, demonstrating the power, energy and excitement of what Grand Prix can bring,” said Coulthard.

Between Coulthard’s runs, spectators will also be treated to exhilarating performances by German drifter Elias Hountondji and motorbike stunt rider Arūnas ‘Aras’ Gibieža.

The Red Bull Showrun is scheduled for Sunday, October 6. Visit www.redbull.com/showrun for more information.
