FlySafair missing flights up soon

FLYSAFAIR flights currently

do not reflect in the GDS

after the end of October 2018.

This is due to the airline

finalising its slots for the next

Iata season, which runs from

March to October.

Head of sales and

distribution at the airline, Kirby

Gordon, told TNW that the

slots should be finalised by

the end of April, and possibly

within the next 10 days. He

also confirmed that, despite

rumours, FlySafair would not

be discontinuing routes.

He explained that the airline

was taking delivery of two new

aircraft, which would be added

to the schedule. As soon as

the carrier had finalisation

from the airports about which

slots could be used for the

new aircraft, the fares would

be loaded in the system for

the upcoming Iata season.

“Bookers can expect

that there may be a few

time slot changes as per

the adjustments but no

cancellations,” he added. “Our

schedules are very tight so we

like to make sure that we have

100% confirmation on slots

before we load.
