Globus suspends all operations for travel

Travel and tourism company, Globus, has issued notice of a temporary suspension of operations, (effective March 13) to ensure the safety of guests as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Globus is offering travellers who have made bookings between March 14 and April 30 options to either change or cancel travel plans through the Peace of Mind offer that includes a future booking credit option, redeemable for travel departing until December 31, 2022, or to follow the company’s regular cancellation policy.

For future travel beyond April 30, Globus is giving travellers with existing bookings, and also for new bookings, the option to move their deposits on future holidays to another brand (Cosmos, Monograms or Avalon Waterways).

Globus is also allowing guests departing on any holiday that includes Italy, on any date, to move their holiday to a future date at no extra cost. Globus is also temporarily waiving cancellation penalties until 30 days prior to departure.

In a statement, Globus said it would continue to monitor the situation to determine if additional modifications and updates were needed.
